How do I add and manage locations in the Storetraffic app?
Learn how to easily add and manage locations in the Storetraffic app to enhance your store's visibility and operations.
Table of Contents
Locations in the Storetraffic app represent your physical stores or sites. You can view, search, add, edit, set business hours for, and delete locations from the Locations list.

Navigating the locations list
Each card shows the location name and a subtitle with device health — "X of N reporting" or "N devices connected". Tap a card to open that store's report.
- Search — when you have three or more locations, a search icon appears next to the Locations title. Tap to filter by name; tap × to clear.
- Pull to refresh — refreshes device counts and statuses.

The location action menu
Tap the small edit icon on a location card to open its action menu.

- Reports — open the location's traffic report.
- Devices list — open the location's devices.
- Edit location, Business hours, Delete Location — write access only. Read-only accounts see only Reports and Devices list.
Adding a location
Tap Add Location (on the empty state, below the list, or from the action menu).
Step 1 — Location Information
- Enter Location name, Email, and Phone (all required).
- Tap Next. Inline errors appear if required fields are empty.

Step 2 — Address Information
- Enter your Street address (autocomplete available), City, State / Province, Country, and Zip / Postal code.
- Optionally expand Advanced to override the timezone.
- Tap Finish.
After Finish, the app takes you directly to the Business hours screen — setting hours is part of creating a location.

Setting business hours

From the action menu, tap Business hours. The screen lists all seven days with open/closed toggles and time pickers.
- Times come in half-hour increments (e.g. 9:00, 9:30).
- 24h chip — marks a day as open all day.
- Apply to All Days — copies the first day's hours across the whole week.
- Suggest Hours from Google — imports published hours when available.
Tap Save Business Hours to apply changes. If you leave with unsaved edits, the app prompts Save & Leave or Leave without Saving.
Editing a location

From the action menu, tap Edit location. The form loads pre-filled. Change any field and tap Save.
Deleting a location
From the action menu, tap Delete Location. You must type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes the location and all its devices and traffic data — it cannot be undone.
Notes
- Business hours are critical — Pearl sensors sleep outside opening hours preserving battery power, by not communicating or counting and reports filter traffic to these hours. Inaccurate hours produce unreliable data.
- If your account has exactly one location, the app skips the list and opens straight into that location's report — this is expected.
- Adding, editing, and deleting locations requires write access. Read-only accounts can only view.
- The location inherits its business category and currency from the company — those fields aren't asked again when adding a location.
