Table of Contents

    Overview

When a location is closing, relocating, or no longer using a device, you can extract (download) the data first and then delete the location to avoid unnecessary data storage or billing.

This article, with a video below, walks you through both steps.

Step 1: Extract (Download) Data for a Location

Before deleting a location, make sure you download all the data you want to keep. Once a location is deleted, data cannot be recovered.

    To extract data:

    1. Select the Location you want to extract data from.
    2. Navigate to Analytics>Reports
    3. Select the date range for the data you want to export
    4. Choose the “Data Export” report
    5. Put a checkmark on all criteria and then click on “Submit"
    6. An Excel file will be produced, and saved to your computer or internal storage system.

    Step 2: Delete a Location from T.M.A.S.

Once your data has been successfully extracted, you can safely delete the location.

    To delete a location:

    1. In T.M.A.S., go to Administration> Manage Locations.
    2. Select the location you wish to remove
    3. Confirm that:
      1. All required data has been extracted
      2. Devices are no longer installed at this location
    4. Click Delete Location.
    5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

    ⚠️ Important:

Deleting a location permanently removes all associated data.

    This action cannot be undone.
