OVERVIEW
Many organizations choose to work with 3rd party providers for their IT and technology solutions.
At SMS Storetraffic, we are happy to partner with these 3rd parties to deliver services together to end customers, ensuring smooth collaboration between all parties involved.
In such partnerships, financial arrangements and responsibilities need to be clearly defined to ensure transparency between all parties.
How Does It Work?
-
When a 3rd-party provider is involved in delivering services to the end customer:
-
One party will be responsible for managing T.M.A.S. software and payments.
- Control can be with either a) the 3rd-party provider or b) the end customer
- SMS Storetraffic's pricing is public and available on its website for full transparency.
-
SMS Storetraffic team manages software renewals and hardware orders with the following:
- Individual identified as the point of contact
-
Admin in T.M.A.S. software (Chain & Users Managers rights)
IMPORTANT : Renewal Invoice notifications
Anyone who has Chain & User Manager access under the main chain/account will receive all future upcoming renewal notifications and will have access to the Manage Subscriptions page.
-
One party will be responsible for managing T.M.A.S. software and payments.
The following three main scenarios define responsibilities for financial and administrative tasks.
Scenario 1: The 3rd Party Pays SMS Storetraffic Invoices
T.M.A.S. Chain/Account Control
-
T.M.A.S. chain/account should be under the 3rd party’s name and user
- This gives them the ability to manage T.M.A.S. subscriptions and renewals.
End Customer Access and Limitations
-
End customer needs to be added as a sub-chain*, so they have:
- No access to the main chain/account
- No access to Manage Subscriptions page
- Admin of the account (the 3rd party) will be responsible for account creation and managing access for master users.
- SMS Storetraffic will provide support to the end customer as it does for all customers.
Hardware and Software Orders
- The 3rd party is responsible for all orders and renewals.
-
The end user can always see SMS public pricing from our website, and/or ask SMS Storetraffic team.
Note: A sub-chain is a secondary account under the main chain account. Sub-chains are typically used by chains with multiple brands or by 3rd parties managing various clients. For more information, please see the FAQ section of the following article T.M.A.S. Manage Locations
Scenario 2: 3rd party acts as a facilitator, but lets the end customer pay invoices
T.M.A.S. Chain Control
-
T.M.A.S. chain should be registered under the end customer’s name and user
- This gives the end customer the ability to manage T.M.A.S. subscriptions and renewals.
3rd Party Access
- If 3rd party is a facilitator, SMS Storetraffic's recommendation is for the end customer to give Installation Partner access level to the 3rd party.
- Access to installing and supporting software
- No access to managing users
- No access to reports
Hardware and Software Orders
-
The end customer is responsible for all orders and renewals
Scenario 3: 3rd party makes initial hardware and software order(s) and transfers the account to the end customer
Transferring your account and subscriptions from one entity to another
- 3rd party makes the purchase and transfers to the end customer (e.g., the end customer takes over accounts and responsibility for future invoices)
- T.M.A.S. account and subscriptions will be transitioned to the new entity with written authorization from the initial purchaser
- Existing subscriptions paid by a 3rd party can be transferred to the end customer.
- A written agreement is required, authorizing the transfer of all subscriptions to the new entity.
- Once the above authorization letter is provided, SMS Storetraffic will require the below information from the new entity for a new account setup:
- New entity's legal name
- Billing address (no P.O. boxes)
- Invoice contact email
- Phone number
- If SMS Storetraffic support is required in relation to the transfer, there will be a service ticket charge depending on the work associated with the said transfer.
- SMS Storetraffic's Customer Success team will confirm the cost following verifications.
