How do I configure WiFi on a Pearl device?

    To configure WiFi on a Pearl device using the Storetraffic app: open the app, go to Devices list, tap the Pearl device edit, then tap Configure WiFi. Put the Pearl in setup mode. Select your 2.4GHz network from the scan list or enter the SSID manually. Enter the network password and tap Connect Device. The Pearl device must be within range during setup.

    WiFi configuration applies to Pearl devices only — 3DScope II cameras are wired and don't have this option.

    Steps

    1. From the location card, tap the Edit Pencil and select devices list
    2. From the devices list, tap the edit pencil on the Pearl device.
    3. Tap Configure WiFi.
    4. Tap Select a WiFi network to open the network picker.
    5. Choose Scan or Manual (see below).
    6. Enter the WiFi Password.
    7. Tap Connect Device.

    		 Lists nearby networks with signal strength and band (2.4GHz / 5GHz / dual). Tap the network you want — Pearl needs 2.4GHz.

    Manually entering the SSID for hidden networks

    		 Type the network name yourself. Use this when the network isn't in the scan list or for a hidden network (scanning never finds hidden networks).A hidden network appears as (hidden SSID) in the scan list. Tapping it jumps to the Manual tab where you type the exact network name.

    Notes

    • Pearl requires a 2.4GHz network. It will not connect to 5GHz-only, WPA3-only, WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise, or captive-portal networks.
    • The network name is required. Passwords over 63 characters or with unsupported characters are rejected.
    • Selecting a 5GHz-only network is refused with an error.
    • Connecting to an open (no-password) network asks you to confirm first.
    • On iPhone, the app cannot open your phone's WiFi settings — if you need to switch your phone's network, do it from Control Center or Settings first, then return to the app.
