PEARL Device & SAAS: Guide to Seamless Communication

Overview
This guide describes the network communication between the PEARL device and our SAAS. No custom router or firewall rules blocking traffic should generally mean no communication issues.
Outbound communication
Data is sent from the PEARL to our SAAS using HTTPS via URL `https://www.smssoftware.net` on port 443.
Inbound communication
The PEARL receives data via the same URL and port. Notably, no firewall configuration is needed for inbound ports as the PEARL device initiates the communication.
Testing outbound communication
If there are issues, test by accessing `https://www.smssoftware.net/tmas/rest/dbrfAPI/` from a browser on the same network as the PEARL. A successful page load confirms that your network settings are correct. If the page doesn’t load, consult your network team.
