How do I install the LS-SK4807 PoE injector?
Install the LS-SK4807 PoE injector for a 3DScope II LC or HC counter. Port labels, wiring, specs, and why it cannot power the Outdoor model.
Table of Contents
The LS-SK4807 is a single port gigabit PoE injector supplied by Storetraffic to power a 3DScope II LC or HC counter when the location's network switch has no free PoE port. The power supply is built into the unit, so there is no separate adapter brick, but the AC cord must be connected to the 2-pin inlet before it will power up.

Not for the Outdoor model. The LS-SK4807 sends power on cable pairs 4/5 and 7/8. The 3DScope II Outdoor connects through a 4-pin M12 cable that carries only pairs 1/2 and 3/6, so power from this injector has no path to the camera and the Outdoor will not power up at all. Use the TP-Link TL-POE150S for Outdoor installations, or a PoE switch port that supplies standard 802.3af power. Some PoE switches must be set to standard mode before they will power the Outdoor.

Steps
- Locate the store network switch that the counter will connect to.
- Position the injector between the counter's cable run (or patch panel) and the switch.
- Plug the counter's Ethernet cable into the PoE Out port on the injector.
- Plug the Ethernet cable coming from the switch into the Data In port on the injector.
- Connect the AC cord to the 2-pin inlet on the end of the injector, then plug it into a working wall outlet or power bar.
- Confirm the red LED on the injector is lit. This only confirms the unit has power.
- Confirm the counter is online and communicating with T.M.A.S.

Notes
- The red LED shows power only. There is no link or activity light on the injector, so it cannot confirm that data is passing. Use the counter's own status LED and the switch port light to check the connection.
- The injector outputs a fixed 48 V, which is the voltage the LC and HC run on, and it can supply up to 30 W against the counter's 6 W draw.
- The injector carries data through unchanged and has no IP address, so it does not appear on the customer network and needs no configuration or switch port reservation.
- If the switch already has a free PoE port, the injector is not required. Connect the counter directly to the switch instead.
- Install indoors, within 100 m of cable from the counter, ideally close to the network switch.
- Do not power the injector from a switched outlet that store staff turn off at closing, or the counter will drop offline every night.
- Feed the counter from one power source only. Do not connect it through the injector and a PoE switch port at the same time.
