We’re excited to have you on board.
This guide walks you through your onboarding journey — from creating your account to collecting data and getting value from your reports. Think of it as a guided journey with clear steps, timelines, and options depending on your setup.
What Storetraffic Helps You Do
Storetraffic helps you understand how many people visit your location, when they visit, and how traffic changes over time.
Your solution may include:
- People-counting hardware (PEARL wireless counters and/or 3D Scope II cameras)
- The SMS Smart App (for setup and mobile access)
- The T.M.A.S. analytics platform (for advanced dashboards and reporting, if included in your package)
Together, these tools turn foot traffic into insights you can use to optimize staffing, measure performance, and make smarter decisions.
What Happens After Purchase
📌 For the best experience, we recommend following this sequence:
- Download the SMS Smart App
- Create your organization and location(s)
- Install your device(s)
- Complete setup (and calibration if required)
- Access T.M.A.S. (if purchased)
- Attend your onboarding sessions

📱 Phase 1: Account Setup – Mobile App (Days 1–7)
1. Download the Mobile App
Download the SMS Storetraffic Smart App:
2. Create Your Organization & Locations
Once logged in:
- Create your organization
- Add your location(s)
This allows your devices to send data to the correct place.
💡 Good to know:
You’ll use the same login credentials for the mobile app and T.M.A.S. (if included in your package).
Access is typically enabled within 2 business days after creating your organization (for more details, please refer to Phase 4).
👉 In the meantime, please move on to Phase 2.

Once your organization is created, the next step is to install your people-counting device.
🔧 Phase 2: Equipment & Installation (Days 8–15)
Choose Your Hardware Type
Use this option if you have a PEARL counter.
Before installing:
- Ensure a stable 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi signal at the mounting location
- Follow recommended mounting guidelines
- Make sure nothing obstructs the sensor
Typical installation time: 20–40 minutes
Data usually starts flowing within a few hours.
3D Scope II (Indoor / Outdoor)
Use this option if you have a 3D Scope II camera.
Follow the appropriate installation guide for your model. Once powered on, continue to the calibration phase.
🧭 Optional: Remote Site Study
You can request a free remote site study if you:
- Have multiple entrances
- Have a complex layout
- Want extra guidance for your first installation

📡 Phase 3: Calibration (3D Scope II Only)
⚠️ PEARL users: please skip this step
If you are using 3D Scope II cameras, calibration is required.
Book Your Calibration Session
During calibration, we:
- Configure your device for accurate counting
- Confirm your hardware is reporting correctly
- Validate your setup with walk-tests (with an on-site contact)
This process is usually quick, though delays may occur due to connectivity or setup conditions.
⚙️ Phase 4: T.M.A.S. Access (If Included)
If your package includes T.M.A.S.:
- Access is typically enabled within 2 business days after creating your organization
- You’ll receive an email when your account is ready
You can log in using the same credentials as the mobile app.
👉 While waiting, continue with installation and calibration.
T.M.A.S. gives you access to:
- Dashboards
- Reports and scheduling
- Historical data
- Advanced analytics tools
🎓 Phase 5: Book Your T.M.A.S. Training and Take Your Guided Tour
Once your device is installed, data is flowing (typically after 1–2 weeks), and your access is active, the next step is to start learning the platform.
🚀 Personalized Kickoff Session
We recommend booking your live kickoff session with our team.
This session typically covers:
- T.M.A.S. overview
- Dashboards
- Reports and scheduling
- Smart alerts
- Special events
- Key features relevant to your use case
Guided Tour (Optional, Self‑Paced)
Prefer to explore on your own first? Start with a guided tour of T.M.A.S. to get familiar with the interface.
Follow‑Up Session
A follow-up session (usually ~2 weeks later) helps you:
- Go deeper into your traffic data
- Review key reports
- Ask questions based on real usage
- Prepare to train others in your organization
- Explore additional topics specific to Retail and/or Real-Time plans (if applicable)

- Your organization is set up
