Why Does T.M.A.S. Show XML Code When I Run a Report?
Learn why some T.M.A.S. reports may display XML code instead of opening normally and how to resolve the issue by disabling the Adobe Acrobat browser extension.
Overview
If a T.M.A.S. report displays a page of XML code instead of the expected report, the issue may be caused by the Adobe Acrobat browser extension.
This can affect reports such as Total Traffic, Sensor Traffic, and other T.M.A.S. reports that normally open or generate report content in your browser.
You may see a page beginning with a message similar to:
“This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.”
followed by XML code containing <TMSReports> and <Report> entries.
This is a browser-related display issue and does not indicate a problem with your traffic data.

Resolution
Disable the Adobe Acrobat browser extension, then run the T.M.A.S. report again.
Google Chrome
Open Chrome.
Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Extensions > Manage Extensions.
Locate Adobe Acrobat.
Turn the extension off.
Return to T.M.A.S. and run the report again.
Microsoft Edge
Open Edge.
Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Extensions > Manage extensions.
Locate Adobe Acrobat.
Turn the extension off.
Return to T.M.A.S. and run the report again.
What Should I Do If the Problem Continues?
If you still see XML code after disabling the Adobe Acrobat extension:
Refresh T.M.A.S. and try the report again.
Close and reopen your browser.
Try running the report in another supported browser.
Contact SMS Storetraffic Support if the issue continues.
FAQ
Why am I seeing XML code instead of my T.M.A.S. report?
The Adobe Acrobat browser extension can interfere with how certain T.M.A.S. reports are opened or displayed. Disabling the extension should allow the report to load normally.
Is there a problem with my traffic data?
No. Seeing the XML page is a browser/display issue and does not mean that your traffic data has been lost or corrupted.
Do I need to uninstall Adobe Acrobat?
No. You only need to disable the Adobe Acrobat browser extension. You do not need to uninstall the Adobe Acrobat application from your computer.
Which T.M.A.S. reports can be affected?
The issue can occur when running reports such as Total Traffic or Sensor Traffic, as well as potentially other T.M.A.S. reports opened through the browser.
